Is my HDD recoverable?

November 24th, 2016, 10:53

So to cut long talks short, the thing is that I wanted to use my "Seagate Momentus 5400.3" HDD from my old dead laptop and put it in a caddy to use it as an external storage.
As you can see in images I tried to unscrew those 4 little screws holding the external metal casing to the HDD, two of them got out but the other two got stock and then the cross where the screwdriver does got eroded by the screwdriver and turned into a circle! now it was impossible to get'em out, so instead I just "destroyed" that external metal casing :D (I was furious).

So my question is that from those images can someone help me know whether the whole thing is destroyed or will it work if i just put it in a caddy?
