ize of ST2000DM006 not being recognized anymore

April 25th, 2017, 3:24

In November I bought a Barracuda 2TB disk (ST2000DM006 - PN: 2DM164-316), which has firmware: CC26.
The drive worked well, but yesterday all of a sudden it started to make a clicking sound. We turned the system off, and when rebooted, the drive reports the size as 0MB (http://imgur.com/FunVJL1). When the operating system booted, it shows the disk with a capacity of 128GB (uninitialized).
What can I do? I would like to recover some of the data on this disk...
Edit: used SeaTools using the USB Boot (Linux) and from Windows. The SMART check passes, so does the DST (Drive Self Test)... but Short Generic test fails.
This is the information that SeaTools reports when used from Windows: http://imgur.com/0EHZRIJ
When the computer gets started, the drive makes a clicking sound, and a screeching/beeping sound and then ceases to work.

Heads are gone. Nothing you can do on your own.
For this series of drives, expect the worst :(
