Slow Samsung M750XBB

May 31st, 2017, 4:45

Hello friends!
This not the first problem with slow Samsung M8 drives.
While i imaging the drive i have many messages in terminal, and the LBA reading speed is 2-300 kb/sec.
I changed HSA, and nothing changed, the drive still very slow, but can read all sectors without problem.
It looks like the drive scanning offline for bad sectors in the background.
Is there a way for deny this "feature" in Samsung drives like in WD, and Seagate drives?
These are the terminal messages:

Hi,

I had some success when I reduced read retry count in utility on some slow reading cases. Have you tried that?

Look also here: http://forum.acelaboratory.com/viewtopi ... 160&t=8833

good luck!

Thank you pcn!
Unfortunatelly i dont have PC3k, i have MRT and SeDiv, and i canot find "Read retry count level" feature.
Maybe change HSA again could solve this problem, because i think this problem caused some weak head(s).

I don't know if this works or not because i did never test this one out but SHT and the latest version of it (SHTR) have the mentioned option for Trinity drives :

:D :D :D

"Disable auto reasign in RAM" command does not do anything in SHTR.
