Unlock Tech Mode, drive prepared by utility : Ok
The drive has SA issue and can't initialize.
Did you try to Unlock tech mode?
if yes, try to refresh the drive ID.

Rosewood...... Another wonderful product from the SEAGATE factory .......
With each new product, new "scrap"..... (and being generous)
August 31st, 2017, 6:39
Sadly, most of us wouldn't have much work if it weren't for seagate.
August 31st, 2017, 6:56
Very soon we will have an equivalent 1TB from WD too, my guess the quality should have much much better than Seagate.

Well,
The Firmware in Rosewood is a Little Bit Different According To Ace .Stuff Like SMP Etc Is Still Not Implemented .The SA Structure of the WD HDD is Very Different should be easy to recover then this POS

Yes, more work, for sure!!!
But the work/cash ratio will be much lower (at least in my case)
And it is not a problem of the firmware lock, that only opens the doors to hell.......

these drives are lacking the command to write sysfiles, so don't expect too much from pc3k.
