Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello everyone,
Before we start, I wanted to let you all know I have already read the other threads on this particular drive. I am aware of the PCB compatibility issues between Pebbleb and Spyglass.
For these particular drives, does anyone know where to solder in order to get boot ROM access via com port? Soldering ROMs on WD drives has caused all kinds of issues in the past for me so I prefer to avoid doing it.
So far I have not found reliable information related to this subject. There are some photos of people soldering wires onto certain contacts near the USB controller. However, when trying it for myself it does not work...
What are your thoughts on this? Any suggestions? Has anyone found a Spyglass SATA PCB compatible with this drive?
Thank you kindly in advance.
Regards,
Omega

Hi frank,
Its to be noted that atleast some time is needed before drive goes to kernel mode ,I do not have experience in this particular board but generally its 5 minutes to 6 for other usb boards

That helps at least with that part. Thank you. I may need further assistance but for now this gets me started at least.
Edit: That did not give me terminal access....
