Hi

in the PCB of this disk i allredy see the diode problem, i take it off but still the hdd is dead, does a simple pcb swap works in this drive? thanks

Do you think, or you are sure? how did you check?
I guess there is a fuse on the pcb that blows off when the tvs gets shorted...

Was it the 12V TVS diode that was shorted and if so, did you check the zero-ohm link?
