Help me find a matching donor

October 31st, 2017, 17:29

Hello all,

I have recently had some bad luck matching drives and wanted to take the time to ensure the drive I purchase is a match. I am aware that sometimes this is not possible and I have no choice but to take a risk.

The drive that I think is the best possible match is - http://www.donordrives.com/western-digi ... drive.html

If you knowledgeable folks can just confirm this for me would be great. Thanks in advance.

The specs for my drive pulled using PC3K are -
Name.................................... : HHOVJHK
Encode Date............................. : JUN 2012
Model................................... : WD10JMVW
Sub model............................... : 11S5XS0
Country of manufacture.................. : MY
pcb..................................... : A
headsmap................................ : 0,1,2,3
Preamp vendor........................... : 0001
Preamp revision......................... : 0000
MJ0..................................... : F47--119E
MJ1..................................... : FB9--1210
MJ2..................................... : F96--11ED

I would match the bold and underlined parameters:

DCM: HHOVJHK

Model: WD10JMVW-11S5XS0

I usually go for a manufacture date that's relatively close and older than patient.

Thanks Fellas,

Went ahead and ordered a different one from ebay. Saved me a few dollars.
