This isn't even remotely close to being "data recovery".

All you did was to mark some data as hidden then remove the hidden flag in cmd. You could have done it in one quarter the time by just changing your view settings.

I've never seen a virus stupid enough to just mark files as hidden and not actually encrypt/delete them.
