Hello
Drive in topic came with 1 defective head(3). After imaging with good heads (0,1,2) I planned to replace heads from several donors but the drive is clicking and it's heads and donor's heads working good on donors. After several attempts looks like the ROM is corrupted and make the drive clicking.
Drive spins fine with donors ROM's. I have a modules copy but no ROM backed up (because of MRT terminal ofcourse)

The question now is how to access user area and complete the image with head (3) without original ROM?

Hi ,
Well you could use a donor rom and then change 2 modules in sa of patient and you will get user area access .

Are you saying that you can't READ/WRITE ROM on that drive with MRT ?

Unfortunately, yes.
M8, M9T... etc
MRT cannot r/w those winbond even with MRT programmer.

Original heads back and the drive is now return to original state. (ID correctly and shows FW, capacity and SN)
I am confused (ROM wasn't damage at all)
Heads from donors wasn't compatible?

Found the matched donor and imaging head(3) now.
