I got Samsung ST1000LM024 with head stuck and broke.
Before I swaped the heads drive spin. And after swapping the patient won't spin at all. I put the heads back and now it spin again.
Then I but the donor head back and I transferred the platters to the donor. And now the donor drive with patient platters won't spin up?
Any suggestions?

First suggestion: Don't platter swap when it's unnecessary.
Second suggestion: Use compatible read/write heads. It wasn't spinning because the preamp is different.

The donor differ in the last letter in the P/N

What's the PCB # of both (patient and donor)?
It's M8 so it would be ends with (07 or 06 or 03). It's diff. from each other and won't spin ifit diff.
