What to do after paletter exchange?

July 4th, 2018, 15:07

Hi
I have 2.5 hp sas drive with damaged motor. I transfer the the only platters to identical drive. It spin fine but cannot be deleted at all. I swaped the pcb still not deleted.
Then I put back everything as it was amd the donor works fine.

Should I also transfer the heads?

Deleted ? Do you mean you want to erase the data in it ?

If you do not want the data from it, better to just discard and buy another. A drive "rebuilt" like this couldn´t be trusted to normal operation.

I think he meant detected. Otherwise, how do you delete a PCB?
