Hitachi HDS721010DLE630 - HEAD 1 SLOW READ

December 20th, 2018, 2:39

I have this HDD and I can read the SA without problems the 2 copies of the SA.
The HDD is initialized very well and enters RDY quickly.
The problem is that to read 8 sectors of the user zone of the head 1 takes almost 2 seconds, but the SA reads it well at the same speed head 1 and 0. No reading errors of the SA.
The HDD comes unopened and for the moment I discard the change of heads.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

thanks for the tips.
The process in the background and the relocation will not be disabled in hitachi.
All data from head 0 are saved. I tested by IOP and reverse copy but without results.
It is almost certainly the head but I wanted to try before making the change.

Thanks for the indications. I do not have the HRT.
At the moment the client does not tell me if he wants to recover the HDD.
If you confirm the recovery I will comment.
Greetings and happy ending and beginning of the year.

I have it in mind, we are not far away and I believe that postage can be economical.
The important thing is to give solutions.
