This might be an easy question, but I need some help
I have a 3.5" HITACHI 320GB drive from 2010.
When replacing the PCB, is it necessary replacin the BIOS chip?
I understand that older models don't need the BIOS swap.
Your help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, it is nesessary. In very rare situations you can get exactly same PCB ( same FW version for them).
