want to write rom from patient spyglass pcb. to a new unlock pcb ..... without soldering .
i use palmer in utility
so i read rom from patient rom chip via programmer (( mini pro programmer )). file is ok and size is 1024 . then i write this file on my unlock pcb with pc3k
the disk stop spinning . died

. rom died i think and some thing wrong on writing
any suggestions here

Write ROM to unlocked pcb with your external programmer, I do that all the time.

you mean unsolder the rom then write with programmer then solder ?

that's the usual , but the pcb is very thin and sensitive and with soldering many times it will gone

Did you select the right chip? IIRC, these are 1M Bit 1.8V devices.
See if you can read the programmed chip and compare with known good file.
If you can't read it on the PCB, remove it and compare the contents with the buffer for the known good IC.

I prefer external programmer to read and write ROM without removing from the PCB.
REVELPROG-IS and the right clips has done a perfect job the last couple of years

+1 what i use, some premade and homebrew for WSON

Humm, looks good but i think the ready one looks more practical than yours,,, replay the video and see how much it resists the pressure ,,, very strong
I like the DIY ver. to test but prefer the good quality for daily usage.
