I have a HITACHI HDN726060ALE610 which is password locked.
When connected to PC-3K it says ATTENTION ! Security-Locked HDD.
Any suggestions to Unlock it.

This error also occurs when the heads are bad and/or the drive cannot read from SA.

Those drives are not supported by any tool. And over all are not very reliable compared to previous HGST drives. If this drive locked itself out that there is a very good chance that the heads are bad. Could you upload SMART data, it may take a while before Windows allows you to see the drive.

Has anyone troed head exchange in this drive.
My question is whether whether head swap works in this family without any modification in ROM

I hate these models, rarely had a successful HSA replacement, and usually, SA gets damaged when heads get damaged

In two ok HDD interchanged heads, HDD detects PCB only, spinning normal but no sector edit.
After go back both HDD works fine.
