Hi,
I have a Hitachi DK23DA-40F 2,5'' disk that is not detectable by BIOS.
spin is normally done. MHDD is made to run first. When TYPE is done, "ID", .."DRIVE NOT READY" and the
message..
Is this drive broken?
Please do appropriate advice to me.

hi,
It tried at once.
It is this "TIME OUT" .
It seems not to be able to detect it though the spin is done.

By a working drive ( same model ) and use it to test you drive, I think that with this action you will be able to discover if your drive is broken or not.

I will examine it and try.
