Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello, I can't have access through terminal to this drive. No matter what I do, with the board insulated from the disk there is not way to get the "F3>3" command line. The only way to have some output is with the board connected but it doesn't go past "rst 0x20m (p) sata reset".
Is this model terminal locked? Thanks a lot

Maybe ST32000542AS? This disk has a terminal code on the platters. In the event of a SA malfunction, to get to the terminal, you need to shorten the reading channel on the PCB at the right time.

I've tried to look for those points with no luck, do you know where they are?
