ST31500341AS 1.5TB CC1G firmware smartctl ST_M13FQBL 4.14GB?

I had this drive die on me with the click of death. Ordered an identical drive as well as head parking tools to do a head swap. The head swap seems to have worked. However now the drive is reporting with an odd model # in smartctl data as follows:

I did a board swap along with it. So I'm guessing from reading some other threads along these lines I'm going to have to break out my console tools and send some low level commands.

If I am on the right path, could someone help me out and point me in a further direction? I am not afraid of the technicality. I have my trusty bus pirate standing by. Just want to make sure I'm doing the right things to get back up and running.

Don't swap the boards if the heads are the problem. Swap the serial flash chip if you definitely wanna swap the boards.
But if it did not work after head swap with native board odds are faint to get it work by pcb swap...

Assuming you've not transferred the ROM from the old board and you've lost that chip along with the old board, then it's game over. Sorry

Without the content of that sfl chip it is very difficult to recover this drive, i only know one guy able to do that...
