White room or not?

January 24th, 2020, 14:43

Hello, I'm wondering about clean rooms. Is it really necessary or not. For example, I have a hard drive that makes noise. I open it to see what it has. Is it indispensable that I face this in a clean room or a clean room with a clean desk is enough to do this.
If you need a clean room, are there correct tutorials to create that.

Thank you for your answers.

to open it and see you don't need anything clean. However, it is a way different if you need to recover the data from that disk.
In the second case you need a laminar flow bench and some years of experience in the DR field, not to mention other HW and SW tools.
