Hi guys. I have hdd that suddenly dead when I wasn't using my laptop for 2 days. The hdd won't spin or being detected. The data is not that important but, I want to try to fix it as simple as I can. Some say that the problem is usually on the diode, 12v diode usually got shorted. But It's hard to find the diode on the board and It's also hard to find HDD board repair shop in my town.
So could you help me point out where is the diode? I will try to remove it by myself. I apply this picture, hope you guys can point it out for me. Thanks

Hello,
there is no 12V running in this pcb, it only uses the 5V rail.
there is a fuse near the connector, you can check that for continuity, if thats fine i would rather recommend buying a new pcb and transfer the flash IC (8 pin, bottom right)
