Seagate ROM /SA Diagnostics

I have got a seagate Barracuda 500 GB Desktop disk (ST500DM002 ,FW - KC45)
Disk is getting initilized from ROM ( getting detected as ST_M13FQBL -3.86GB )
I tried to read rom through pc3000 but I am unable to read rom via both methods. Disk is not coming up to terminal as well.
I suspect client has changed PCB ,I want to check the same but cant read rom.
how I should go ahead.

Heads are gone. Try reading ROM via Boot mode.

Yes mostly heads but before transplant ,I wanted to ensure Rom is native or not.
Unfortunately can't read through any method

Humm,
Definately you can read rom in boot mode , Sometimes you have to physically short the rom is as in the picture that comes ,Not everytime the non shorted method works
