bads on whole drive - toshiba

May 16th, 2020, 5:09

Hi

I have here TOSHIBA MQ01ABD
i swaped heads

and the result is still the same
Bads on whole drive like on the picture,
no surface can be continually readed

what you think about it?
Cannot it be motor problem?
it's strange that all surfaces can be so damaged

THanks for advice

Your post is not clear. What is the problem and symptoms before you swaped the heads. I think this has translator problem .

Picture look like not full bad sector. Could be platter damage or head swapped in normal condition not in clean room
Try to read random sector with any hex editor. Ex sector 0, 63 and 2048
