Hello,
I got a Samsung ST1000LM024 when connected to PC3K, it show nothing on terminal. The motor spin, no bad noise but BSY DRD DWF DSC DRQ CRR IDX are solid green and all other are solid red.
It looks like PCB issue, I clean it with alcool, I don't see anything wrong.
Ïs there a typical chip I should check on Samsung PCB ?
Thanks

Hi,
The PCB in the photo is not from this disk
The PCB is from the Seagate 5400.3 drive

Thank you Mikippp
This PCB really looks like genuine on this disk, Model also looks like Seagate ST1000LM024. Is there a partnership between them ?

It's a fake. Look how the label is misaligned, plus you can see the old gum residue.
The manufacture date on the label is 2017.09. The date codes on the chips are 649 and 652. That's weeks 49 and 52 of 2016. That's a difference of 9 months.

Thank you Fzabkar, so this is a "copied" drive of orginial Samsung drive ? Is there a chance to recover data ?

definitely a fake. A really poor one. Look, there's a residue of an old sticker UNDER the P/N sticker

And some glue remnants as well.

It's a Seagate 5400.3. Use your Seagate tool.

I think that the date codes should be weeks 49 and 52 of
2006. That's a difference of 11 years.
