Samsung HD502HJ no user sector access

October 7th, 2020, 10:22

Hello friends, good day.
I have a strange case here. Samsung HD502HJ ids perfectly, could backup modules and tracks perfectly (using MRT). But whenever I try to read any user sector, it gives me an error, but drives remains on rdy state.
When I try to read user sector, terminal gives me this:

[GL][ADD:00000000][C:0008][E:1140]
[CACH_ER:1140 @LBA:00000000]
[HOST_ER:1140 20.0000 00000070 0000B9FC 3]

Don't know what it could be. Doesn't seems to be heads problems.
Thank you so much for any enlightenment.

did you build head map in DE (or whatever it is called in MRT)?
check if all heads have the same issue.

pepe, as I didn't get access to any user sector, I didn't try to build head map or even initiate DE.
I'll try later and come back with results. Thanks for answering.

pepe, I believe you were right... head 1 is flawless, but head 0 is not reading at all.
Thank you for your help.
