Accidentally set an HDD password

October 22nd, 2020, 10:05

I had been drinking to much and i think it must have happened because i played with hdparm. When i start the computer it says ENTER HDD PASSWORD. Have to unplug the disk to start the OS (Linux Mint) from USB. But cant install it or format the drive since the computer cant find it even after i plug it in again.

Can the disk be saved or must i buy a new one?

Thanks
