HFS partition got formatted twice

November 5th, 2020, 7:03

Hello guys,

Hope you and your family are all safe and healthy in this day of Covid-19.

So i've got a HDD, with a healthy condition, which had a HFS partition, but by a technician mistake, the hdd was formatted to NTFS with a aborted install of win 10 and then reformatted to HFS with a full install of MacOS 10.15^.

Now, after a R-Studio scan of the whole drive I've found some partitions format to NTFS with data. I've recovered those files but most of them are corrupted when checking with the Hexeditor they don't have the right file signature. Any suggestions to solve this?

There is no big solution. You have the HDD re-written and that will not allow you to recover the data.
You might have some files working (if...) but you will get the data corrupted.
Nothing to do...
