request for information

Hello
I need some information and I allow myself to make my request.
I have a hard disk with the head HS. I found a clone of the disk, but the seller asks for the version of the preamplifier.
How can I get this, since I'm starting and I don't have any top software at the moment.

Thanks

I'm just asking out of curiosity. As I understand, you are looking for a compatible donor. So what do you plan to accomplish if you don't have a powerful software (like PC3K) for that?

That's why I ask if there is no other interface than Pc3000.
You say that you have to go to the terminal, but how do you get which software, which command, etc.?

The USB-TTL adapter will help for terminal access. So you can learn the preamp rev.

Thank you for your answer
I set out to buy a usb-ttl. Maybe you have a supplier to advise me.
Once received, what do I have to type in the terminal? It is of course linux?
There may be a course, a training to learn for free.
