which hard drives can have the platters separated

January 4th, 2021, 16:55

Does anyone know which hard drive models allow the platters to be removed and misaligned from each other?

I have a Toshiba mk5059gsxp that I'd like to clean the platters from.

These are very tolerant for platter removal.

But it does beg the question... WHY do you want to clean all the platters?
