Recover data from Seagate st1000lm035

February 20th, 2021, 11:50

Hi, I recently had a problem with my laptop and it appears to be a hard drive failure. I changed it for a ssd and it is already working correctly. The problem is that I am trying to read the data from the old disk (it is not important data but I would like to get it back). I connected the disk to a usb adapter and windows shows me the file directory correctly but when I access the user folder to retrieve the files the explorer hangs, sometimes even the operating system. The drive is a seagate st1000lm035. What could you do to get the data back? Thanks greetings.

maybe one head damaged or platter damaged. Sometimes hdd has weak heads with lot of bad sectors area. at this kind of hard drive can't be recovered without proper tools. if you are trying to read it lot of time, final result maybe head clicking.
