Hitachi R5C-J600SS testing

July 28th, 2021, 7:05

Hi all

i have a multiple Hitachi R5C-J600SS, Model - HUC106060CSS600.

I want to test the drives but the issue is they only run at 7mb sec max even with write cache on.
i have tried with other hitachi disks with the same result. but its only on hitachi system disks with the hitachi caddy, not generics or other branded hitachi disks.

Any ideas?
Thanks

If these discs were not subjected to any modification, then the read speed of them should be usual. But the writing will not work at all.

Hi

No these are unmodified vsp disks that i just wanted to run a full write, read and verify test aswell as wiping them to make sure there good drives.

i have only come accross this problem on these VSP disks.

So there no way to do general testing on them like say dell or hpe.

Thanks
