ST750LM022 Platter scratch Reccovery attempt

December 4th, 2021, 15:42

A have a hard case.
e06cc86a-2406-4d1d-b10f-e070e6fc437c.jpg

Upper platter scratched. 2 DR company rejected work with drive.
I have checked other platter surfaces look good. My assumption drive could be using 3 heads. tried some donors. Somehow once I could saw zone table list . But not sure if its true or not. Zone table showed as my assumption. H 0,1,2 using. H3 not. Unfortunatelly havent save that log.
Today tried with a 1 TB drive PCB Swap. I could get some modules from copy 0. So many bad modules in copy 0. cannot access copy 1. and UA.

In MRT , It says drive using H 1,2,3 . But zone table said different. (H0,1,2)
I am thinking other DR companies have changed Headmap.

I would try again. Need to change HM to H0,1,2 and also H0,1,2,3 manually. I dont know how to do it with MRT.

Could somebody do it for me If possible .
