Forgot my HDD password, any way to format it and reuse it?

December 20th, 2021, 4:40

Hi guys.

Few weeks ago made a backup on a 2.5'' internal HDD and put it away for a while. Few days ago tried to add some files but realized that I've forgotten what the password was. Tried almost 200 attempts but no success. I set the password using my laptop's bios (not a CMOS password, an ATA security password)

I/O error if try to format the disk both on linux live & Windows. https://i.imgur.com/6hlcZZi.jpg

I got almost %90 of that data somewhere else and I am quite okay with losing the data, formatting and being able to reuse the disk.

Any idea?
