ROM flash chip model and datasheet

February 13th, 2022, 11:15

Hi everyone, this is a logic board from hgst hc510 10TB, I want to know what is the model number of the ROM chip? I searched the lable "5S161 00 ASL50" but couldn't find anything.
Thanks in advance.

LE25S161 is a SPI bus flash memory device with a 16M bit (2048K x8-bit) configuration.

Is there anything wrong with the PCB?

Thanks, but the lable format on the chip doesn't match the datasheet, nor the package size.

Seems not, I just want to know that chip model :)

5S161 is the ic marking code and it corresponds to LE25S161 device code!
Factories often do like to cut parts of device code, in particular on small ic.

The package type of your LE25S161 is UDFN8.

Maybe this datasheet is more clear.

I didn't get the chance to measure it again, sadly, and thanks for your help anyway :)
