ST8000VN004 signed ROM chip, not possible to unlock the PCB?

July 18th, 2022, 20:27

Hi fellow gurus,

I have a Seagate 8TB, model ST8000VN004 which has suffered Firmware corruption, and this is a quite new model with signed ROM.

The problem is I can't unlock the board and get any access to the system area, this model is not supported by PC3K.

The only solution at the moment is just to image the drive, but with this speed, it would take months to do it...

Does anyone know if there's any other method or tool how to unlock the PCB or solve this problem?

TIA!
