Shorted HDD - Will removing TVS Diode Help?

October 10th, 2022, 15:52

I'm pretty sure I shorted my HDD's - they are HGST 6TB SAS drives (HUS726060ALS640).

Reading through the forum, it looks like the drives might be salvaged if I pull the 5v and/or 12v TVS Diode?
The drives don't power at all when connected directly to a SAS/power cable.

I'm assuming the parts on the board I've marked are the diodes?
Is there anything else I should check?

Any help would be really appreciated!

Try check fuse resistors or 0R resistors.

Check the fuses as well.
