Are you talking about re-creating the "translator" if it's unreadable (assuming all copies are bad) or something else?

That's interesting.
How this toshiba drives behave when dynamic translators are corrupted? Do they click or do any strange noises, or they just don't show any data?
Do you know on which SA track are written dynamic translators?
