My brother bought an external HDD (closed case + notebook HDD) on aliexpress but he thinks this HDD is used but he opened SMART or some HDD program and it shows no badblocks, no hours of use indicating that it is a new unused HDD
When connecting the HDD to the PC, Kesu (E:) appears
Is there any software to analyze whether the original firmware and original smart were changed by the Chinese to show that it is a new HDD?

What is the exact number of Bytes or LBA's given by the disk (not how much is free, but the size of the whole disk)? And what is the advertised size of the disk on the label of the disk?
There is a formula to calculate them. In case the actual size is lower than what you calculate based on the advertised size, then that might be a hint for bad sectors being moved to the permanent bad block list, which reduces the total size of the disk.
Some vendors also print the exact size of the disk on the stickers.
