WD Blue PCB change

February 9th, 2024, 11:31

Hey you all!

I was wondering if anyone here has changed PCB on WD Blue WD10EZEX?
I tried doing it but ended up finding "uknown device" from device manager..

My exact model of HDD is WD10EZEX-21M2NAO
Donor of the PCB is WD10EZEX-60M2NAO

Does that tiny bit on model make that much difference that it does not work at all?

Worth to note is that my original HDD got fried by faulty PSU, so in that case, shouldn't PCB swap help?

Thank you for reply! :)

You need to transfer the ROM (aka "BIOS IC") from patient to donor.
