Hello All,
Long story short, PCB Died on my Seagate Barracuda 3000GB, ordered replacement board and sent it to a guy who works from home to swap the bios chip over to the new donner board.
Couldn't get in touch with him for a long time and finally found out he has sold the house and moved, not responding to emails or phone calls.
Now, I have no BIOS chip, is it possible to recover the data from the hard drive without the bios chip? Details below.
What would it cost to recover?
Model: ST3000DM001
PN: 1CH166-571
FW: CC43
Date 13093
PCB:
100687658 REV B
Cheers

Hello,
i can recover rom for some seagate families, but starting with 1CH grenada i could not find one parameter in RAP which kinda makes the recovery impossible.
there are some sad conclusions to this case... :s
