As of now in 2024 what is point in refurbishing disk whose life was long over 5 years back ?
In repair cost at least 10 new hard disks can be brought.
Refurbishing is stupid idea as ultra precision components cannot be repaired to manufacturer level .

Not to manufacturer level atleast in a working good condition. Some drives have minor and minute problems which can be cleared and can be reused I think. We don't need to throw it for minor problems with good health condition I think

Yes since this is enterprise grade hard disk its worth to salvage it. But Don't know whether this is supported by pc3k or mrt.
