wd5000aads no power

July 27th, 2024, 15:51

Hello
working on a wd5000aads old hard drive
was working ok, didn't used it for a while and now seem like getting no power and not detected..

i took the pcb out and connected it without the drive
i can see it has 5v rail but looks like the 12v is missing.

is there any common problem on those pcb? doesnt seem like the 12v rail is shorted to ground.

pcb number is 2060-701640-001 REV A

thanks..

You should use your multi meter and check the electronics. Better to post a picture of any problems you find.
