This spins up normal, can hear the heads load, no clicking. I can't access the drive at all. It is USB-C, what would be the best method to convert to SATA, using a daughter board or solder on a SATA connection? Thank you

Where do you usually snag a SATA connection from in order to use with this? Full disclosure, this is an in house drive I'm using to figure these out, have not had to convert one yet.

sata connectors are just stuff you buy years ago and have, digikey, mouser etc should sell them if you want new otherwise butcher a drive pcb for one.
Just be careful with the wire you use. It needs to be flexible otherwise you'll pull the pads off and leave yourself with some trace repair work. I have a feeling the stuff I have is 0.5mm stranded and silicone covered.

it sounds a way too strong to me, 0.2 is fairly enough and it won't peel off the pads surely. I use the enamelled winding wires usually, thin, insulated, perfect for the purpose.

I can't see the enamelled magnet wire I use for monoliths without the scope Just checked and it's apparently 30AWG which google tells me is 0.05 and not 0.5.

Just wondering if wire length will cause an issue. I used 30awg wire and they are around six inches long, I just wanted enough room to work, but I can't get the drive ready, get all error lights on pc3k. All my connections look good, and I removed the four capacitors. Thanks again.

Check ground.
And yes, i find that even 4in with this drive is pushing it.
