Seagate ST1000LM037 No Power Problem

Hello,
I recieved this hdd with no power problem. I replace pcb and original rom with donor pcb. Now hdd detected with no initialisation problem. When scanning with r-studio software all sector bad sector. I think it has translator or partial access problem. Can somebody unlock rom because of i haven't expensive tool like pc 3000 or mrt. I submit rom as attachment.

If you don't have an expensive tool like PC3K or MRT I'm not sure unlocking the ROM will do anything for you as you won't have the tool to work with the unlocked ROM.

I have unlocked it with PC3K and attached it anyway, hope it helps.

hdd is not powering on after write unlocked rom.

drive is SED and based on the date it is tied to the MCU, so with foreign PCB it cannot decrypt data correctly. Even if it wasn't the case, DeviceFault is set if started with donor pcb, which results in an error on any read command, which might serve as an explanation of your experiences...

If you're just a ROM jockey and head swap mechanic, it's time to put away your tools and look for another job.
