My 2.5" HDDs are a bit old, I don't know if they have the function of having automatic parking technology only when inactive? no read/no write/park

My models are: WD10JPVX-08JC3T5 and HGST HTS541010A99E662

Auto park technology has evolved in recent years

In the reports of people I see some 2.5" HDD + enclosure case USB 3.0 after being ejected in Windows 10 they remain connected and operating

Seems to be a well known SPAM bot (or something, if a real person, they seem to spend all day, creating apparently pointless threads, hundreds of times, often with Ali-express stuff).

I find this thread: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/general-c ... ontact/25/ after googling "HTS541010A99E662". This one of the many threads with exact same question in many places. I will treat sonicmario as a spambot from now on.

Now it is obvious why he is massacring his sentences.
He does not want to be recognized as a cross-poster.

His picture on eevblog is a proof that he already has a test setup but he did not pull the trigger "eject" to learn how his disk behaves.

That is sick.

SATA hard disks all autopark when powered down as a standard feature. The reason is that they could be in an exclosure.
