Imaging tools - which one is better?

What imaging tools are you using for cloning the drives once they are recovered?
My problem is that some of the utilities hang on bad sectors and I have to restart the program again and do the imaging again.

Yeah... that's all in russian....

P.S. What do you think is the most beneficial criteria for imaging tool?
We use one software, but the problem is that if the drive is bad, then the software hangs... :'(
