February 15th, 2025, 18:24

I haven't been able to find info on a SATA PCB match for a WD USB PCB 2060-810035-000 REV P0. Any suggestions?

HDD Model: WD50NMZW-59BCBS1

Thanks in advance.

Depends what your trying to do and what tools you have. There is no magic pcb swap for this model. You can convert the pcb to sata yourself.

Hi Zero, I'm using a Deepspar and I don't have the USB module for it. I was hoping there was a compatible SATA PCB so I could do the usual ROM swap and be good to go.

Shure, if there is one but you need to move MCU too, as those drives are encrypted. Never tried to find any SATA for those. It's easier to convert USB to SATA.

Is there any proper guide for that?

They all are made the same way. Unsolder 4 capacitors from USB bridge and solder SATA. That's all.

If this is a clients data, you should outsource and not risk making things worse.

You could try a "probe board":

This trick might also help to improve your results with the probe board:

Locating the Reset* pin on USB-SATA bridge ICs:
