Genarate rom for seagate ST500DM002

I have Hdd seagate ST500DM002 ROM defect . It is possible to replace with other ROM same chipset and generate the ROM software ?
How ?

Depends what is damaged on the original ROM.
Post it so we can see.

The BIOS IC is defect .When i replace the BIOS IC to donor PCB the motor not spin.

NOTE: The original PCB (patient) not spin the motor. when i remove the BIOS IC and replace it with donor BIOS IC it spin the motor. So the PCB of patient is ok.

Hello,

i can recover the rom for this model, but i need physical access to the drive. On the other hand, it is pretty early to think abou this method, it would be more adequate to read the content of the original flash rom to see what's wrong. A terminal report would be also useful.
try to read it either thru programmer or thru the terminal (requires some tool like pc3k or mrt).
