Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello,
I have a Western Digital WD50NDZW 5TB 2.5" USB hard drive that was accidentally dropped.
After the drop:
It spins up but is not detected by the computer.
Initially the heads moved back and forth from the parking ramp but wouldn’t reach the platters.
I carefully tested manual movement and the platters spin with slight resistance, but now the drive spins up briefly, then stops, with no clicking.
I believe it may be a head alignment or internal mechanical issue. I’d like to recover the data.
If anyone here has the tools, experience, and possibly donor parts to help restore or image the drive, please contact me.
Thank you

Hello,
This one you're not gonna recover on your own and opening the drive did not help its condition for sure.
how far you mind shipping the drive btw? I can likely help but expect a partial recovery due to surface damage caused not only by the fall but powering it up afterwards and running it without the lid, etc. There're quite a few companies in the US but your location is not very specific, can be anything from Chile to Canada...
