Failing Hard Drive - CHKDSK & CrystalDiskInfo Results Advice

March 20th, 2026, 8:26

First of All I apologize in advance of any silly statements / Questions I have

I have a WD Easystore 5tb Which I believe is in the process of failing & am getting the error "The Parameters are Not Correct" When trying to access.

I am including the results of both tests - am looking for any advise on whether

1 - The Drive is Fixable for Use
2 - The Data is Recoverable
3 - The drive should be scrapped (There is no hope for data or usage)

Thanks Very Much For Any Advice !

CHKDSK Results (If any more from the results is needed please let me know) -
Was getting a lot of "A disk read error occurredc00000b5 The disk does not have enough space to replace bad clusters"

667376 files processed.

Phase duration (User file recovery): 23.57 hours.
An unspecified error occurred (766f6c756d652e63 4cf).

This is you best DIY option:

Be prepared for your drive to fail completely during the attempt.
