Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Dear Data Recovery Experts,
I kindly request your assistance. I am uploading photos of a 1TB Toshiba USB hard drive. The drive is a 2018 model, and I need to perform a head replacement. Could you please advise me on which Toshiba donor drive model would be the best and most compatible for this head swap?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Any MQ04xxx100 will work with G4330A PCB or with a compatible SATA number.

Toshiba was very hostile to customers way back so I never bought any more machines or hardware from them. Today Toshiba is very scarce in the market and that model of disk may be rare even in recovery labs.
That MQ04UBF100 disk is a 2.5" SATA 300 disk so its rather old.

it is not that rare, but by just swapping heads there's a risk to screw up the translation for good.
